Town Cottage

Cosy Llanidloes bolthole, moments from riverside walks

Sleeps 2 — Bedrooms 1; Bath/Shower Rooms 1; Dines 4; No Smoking; Pets Allowed; Central Heating; Video; DVD.

A quaint end of terrace cottage in a quiet, residential area of the popular Mid Wales town of Llanidloes. You can enjoy the modern conveniences of this comfortable, tastefully decorated cottage when you return from a day exploring the local area.

Walk straight in to an open-plan sitting room/dining area with a beamed ceiling.

The kitchen is well appointed with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, washing machine and fridge-freezer; it leads onto a small communal yard.

A steep narrow staircase leads to the double bedroom and large, well-fitted bathroom with power shower over bath, toilet and basin.

Comfortable gas central heating is included in the price, as is bed linen.

Llanidloes is an interesting market town with a range of very good restaurants, pubs, shops and walks, all surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The nearby Hafren Forest, from which the rivers Hafren (Severn), Wye and Rheidol rise, has many signposted walks and bounds the Clywedog Dam, home to sailing, fishing and nature trails.

Further south near Rhayader is the home of the Red Kite. Here there are nature walks from the Elan Valley visitor’s centre and a farm where, in winter, visitors can see the Red Kites feed.

The delightful riverside walk shown above is less than 500m from Town Cottage and is adjacent to the pretty local parish church.

For the more active visitor there are two local golf courses, a driving range, pony and quad trekking, clay pigeon shooting and a sports centre for badminton, squash, swimming and mountain biking.

Dogs are charged at £20 extra each per week.
